Worship - about the moment?

A short one to start off, I am in bed and not up to a long post but think this needs something.

Something i thought the other day is that worship is not for the moment, it is about making God bigger in your heart and the world for the next moment.

I hate that so many people seem to think that by being busy for God, doing thing, going places and telling people God gets glory.

It seems that god really gets glory in the long term - when we make life choices to follow him when maybe we don't know why.

We want to make God bigger for the future so why not live like that - why do so many Christians live for the moment.

NB - i say worship, including, but not only singing - worship is not just in reference to this, but as most peoples minds go to this i use that word to make a point.

Singing worship is as little about what a person can get out of it as is imaginable - it is about God. Singing shouldn't be about the feeling you get, it should be about giving God glory so the kingdom of heaven comes to earth faster!
